Why Should I Join Club Horse?

Club Horse is a virtual society here on HorseChannel where equine lovers and enthusiasts can interact. You can create a Web page for each of your horses and meet other members from around the world. Some members interact as themselves while others choose to interact as their companion animals. There are no rules so it’s really up to you on how you choose to interact with other members. Members also can earn points to redeem fun and educational rewards just by doing activities on our website. Log in and earn points by taking quizzes, leaving blog comments to other club members, uploading videos of your companion animal, sending e-cards to your friends and family and other fun activities. Hey there! I am relatively new to the site. I have been a member since July, but with the kids and horses, we have been so busy! I haven't had time to get on here, oh well - I'm going to start again! We have just started our horse family and I think we have a few really good guys! We have an old rodeo star (John - he's 31!) and great comedian (Leroy - he's about 5). We have Sawyer - he's 20, Redman - he's 18, and Q - he's 15. We also have a donkey - Eli - and he is about 3. I rode as a little girl back on the east coast and just started riding again last year. My husband has always had horses. They are truly a beautiful animal! They are definately my children and I spoil them like I spoil me "real" kids! I have had several people leave me some votes/posts already and I really appreciate them! I have even heard from someone who lives close by! That is really why I am here - to find friends! If you leave me blog, I promise I will get back to you as soon as I can! Thanks!

Since I haven't been here in two years or more (and I doubt anyone remembers me since I didn't post much at all), I'll reintroduce myself.

My name's Brittany, but I go by 'Britt' only. I'm 19 and I live in Alabama in a small country town (if you could even call it a town). I live with my great grandmother and she owns fifty acres of pastureland. We currently have 9 horses, 2 donkeys, and 24 cows (I think).

2 of the horses belong to me (Gypsie and Dakota; Tennessee Walkers), 2 belong to my great uncle (Buttercup and Nugget; Rackinghorse and Rackinghorse/x/Quarterhorse), 1 belongs to my cousin (Patch; Rackinghorse), 3 belong to another cousin (Diablo, Wildman, Leigh; Mustang, Mustang/x/Quarterhorse, and Mustang/x/Quarterhorse), and the last one belongs to yet another cousin (Megan; Mustang). The donkeys belong to my great grandma (Tilda and Dash).

Anyway, here are a picture of my two... it's not that recent, but both my camera and my camcorder are messed up and I can't upload any photos right now because of it. Dakota is on the... um... left, I think... and Gypsie is on the right. Dakota is in the green and Gypsie is in the red.

An Introduction of Sorts

Hi all! I wanted to re-introduce myself on here.

I actually joined this forum way back in 2006, but haven't been active since then. I found it recently bookmarked in my favorite places folder and decided to become more active around here. I definitely need a horsey community.

Anyway, my name is Marie and I'm a college student majoring in music. I've been riding for about 7 years now and was an active member in Pony Club up until I started college.
I think the first time I joined on here I was trying to get advice on how to convince my parents to help me get a horse. I am still "horse-less" in the sense of actually owning one, but I do lease a beautiful 29 year old thoroughbred mare named Dolly, and we've been together for so long (almost 6 years) she's like mine.

Um, I guess that's it. If you want to know anything else please ask me! I want to hopefully make some friends on here :)

HI! My name is Brandi, I live in Bartlesville, OK - I have a 3 year old MFT - some of you may have seen his profile which for those of you that have commented thank you. And yes he is a fun boy to be around. He's very laid back. I bought me as a 6 month old and I think I may just be ready to get me another one.

One he sheds out his winter coat I will need to take a picture of him because in the summer he either changes colors or he fades in the sun light. But his mother was a palimino with blothes and in the summer he has almost a deep buckin color to him with blothes - I know weird but he's my boy and I love him!!

So I just thought I'd jump in here and say HELLO!

The Signature Rule

Signatures are now being moderated. Your signature must now comply with these rules:

1. Your signature is not to exceed 500pixels by 200pixels. If you don't know what the heck that means...

If all the contents of your signature do not fit into the size of a dollar bill, your sig is too big. The lone exception is TEXT. Text may go further right than the edge of the box because it wraps naturally. However, ALL IMAGES MUST FIT IN THIS AREA. You may have as many images in this area, but they can't exceed the boundaries, and no one image can exceed any boundary.

2. Your total signature images must be less than 100K in size. If you have no clue what that means, try reading this. You can always right click your image and choose "Properties" to see what your file size is. This means you may have to start gettin rid of animated images, as they are big in file size.

3. Posting personal information in your signature is not allowed. This is your age, IM name, e-mail, full name, your location/address and your phone number. Posting anyone else's personal information in your signature is also not allowed.

4. Linking to other sites is allowed so long as the site is not an offensive, illegal, or inappropriate site. Linking to auctions, sales pages or online shops is forbidden.

Failure to comply with these rules will result in the editing of your signature by the staff. Thank you for your cooperation.

Hi! I'm new here. I love horses even though the only time I've ever rode one is when I was three years old at the carnival. I'm going to start riding lessons this summer. I knew nothing about horses until I read some books called The Saddle Club, my favorite book series. My second favorite book series are the Misty of Chincoteage books. Soon I'm going to write a series of books myself! I love writing books. And what I like almost as much as horses and writing books is my IPOD. It is AWESOME!!!

Hello, I'm new here and wanted to tell a little about myself. I own/operate a boarding facility in a small town that has an equine college so some of the students board here. Mostly hunter/jumper but some western too.

I ride a rocky mountain QH named Buddy, but have several other horses for projects/sale. I buy, train and resell/rehome. I also have other pets such as a pot belly pigger, assorted chickens, 2 minis, 3 dogs, 2 cats and a ferret. I live on 260 acres of rolling hills, pasture and natural riding areas.

I'm glad to have found this site and hope to make new friends and learn new stuff.

I'm getting tired of some of this...

I come to the horse channel for advice. I usually wade through several articles that have less to do with horses/riding/training/care and more to do with their rider's/owner's selfish lives.

Having said this, I know that to some, these topics are very important and therefore I would like to propose a new section for discussion. This section would consist of video clips, siggys, etc...in general it would deal with the braggart members of the forum who find it necessary to share how tough, cool and knowledgeable they are; yet continually ask for validation by posting their newest siggys and video clips.

I realize this position may be highly unpopular, but my time is valuable, too and I don't wish to wade through any more information than is necessary. I have no interest in critiquing anyone, nor commenting on their horse's pictures or video.

Please thoughtfully consider this request.
