I had the same problem and I even though I new it wouln't work I tryed it anyways and it did! I right clicked on "forums" and clicked "open"..I couldn't believe it when it worked!

Based on what is happening, it appears that something within the thread is causing a conflict with your browser. If you are referring to this thread:

http://board.horsechannel.com/Topic293090-4-1.aspx

The problem could be anything within the page that will cause a conflict with your system. (Image, signature, link, etc.) However, this could also be a problem with your computer and not with this forum.

If that is not the correct thread, then please post a link to the thread or any other posts that are giving you the problems you mention.

I'm with Woodrow, firefox is da bomb.

Also, you can get Richard-themed Firefox.

Sam's Mom, thank you for your suggestion of turning off signatures. I did that, then went to the thread of Shakespeare's photos that I always get the window closing on, and it didn't close! I think that my have fixed it, wahoo! :)

If FireFox is such a great browser, I'll switch to that one now. It takes me about 5 seconds to switch it. I know more about computers than my entire family.

Argh. The threads it keeps doing this in keeps increasing. I'm tired of it, way too annoying for me to continue. So if people who can actually make a difference (aka the tech people of this forum) do anything, or say anything here, please let me know, as I'm not going to return to this forum, just too annoying.

And want to say I do not mean that you guys who are giving suggestions are doing nothing for me, just that, unless something wtih this forum changes by the people who have the power to do so, I won't be back. I do appreciate the suggestions, but I"m not willing to download a new browser just to use this forum. But I do appreciate your suggestions :)

Try a different browser. Internet Explorer is a good one.

It might also partly be your operating system/your browser and how they're working with the forum's software. I know it says that the forum is optimized for Internet Explorer - but I use Firefox and have never had a single problem, either while running Windows XP or Vista. Try downloading Firefox (MUCH better browser) and see if that works.

^ I get that too sometimes. It happens once every few weeks. Maybe you have a computer virus? Or maybe you could just click on the "Delete Forum Cookies" button at the bottom of the HC forums homepage.

Thank you for the suggestions Animal Girl. Unfortunately, this has been happening every time I log in (i.e.every day) and I delete cookies on a regular basis.

As CheyAut posted this in the Tech Support section, I believe we are hoping that someone from Horse Channel's technical support division will look into this and tell us what the problem is.

I've been having the exact same problem. Thought it was a problem with my computer. Today, I logged in, which is not something I always do (yes I lurk). Anyway, with logging in, everybody's signature does not show up because I have chosen not to have them show up in my control panel. Today, since logging in, I haven't had that problem. Perhaps, it is because certain signatures are so big, the computer has issues? I really don't know. Hopefully you will get an answer. By the way, the pictures you posted were great. Shakespheare is adorable and it looks like you had fun at the driving contest.

I've been having a problem the past 3 weeks or so with this forum, and only this forum. Often when I go to read a thread, all of a sudden I get that there is an error and the window is closing. It will happen constantly on that thread. Like right now, it's the thread where I posted photos of my horses called Shakespeare and some others. I can't read that thread because it will constantly close the window. I don't have this problem with any other forums, only this one. It's very frustrating!
