Well, technically speaking, most modern horse breeds have some Arabian blood in them somewhere (though it might be very far back in some cases. I know this isn't a technical question though

Personally I don't see the Arab in him, if he has any arab blood I would say that it's further back in his ancestry, since I can't see any of the typical Arab or part-Arab features

Many arabian horses are bred to be gaited...feel free to look it up guys, you won't have to go far. But not gaited as in walking horse, gaited as in morgan, or how some andalusians can be bred gaited etc. In any case, they do indeed exist. Just not in the flat walk/running walk way you're thinking.

Given that characteristic upturned neck I'd say TWH or Saddlebred x QH cross. His croup is WAYY too round to have any arab in him...he doesn't have the dishy face nor steep croup.

I don't know if this has been said, but UC davis does genetic testing...however it is NOT cheap. I know simple color genetics start at 30 bucks and it only goes up from there.

I see a lot more Quarter Horse than I see Arab, but I can see a little Arab somewhere in there. I'd say he is a Heinz 57

Also, I don't believe that Arabians are gaited, I think that they're just a much more floaty horse in their four gaits. I've ridden plenty of Arabians at ages 2, 5, 12, 13, 16 & 18 y/o and I have yet to feel a gaited one.

He doesn't look like any kind of Arab because he has no dished face and his confirmation suggests more of a stock brred like the quarter horse. I don't think he's lippizanner because he's not as thick as they are and his head is smaller. I do however think he may be a walker or some kind of saddlebred or missouri trotter maybe.

My vote is some kind of QH/Gaited cross, probably Walker...He just kind of seems to have that face...Could just be me though, lol

He probably has a little bit of everything in him. DNA testing can get costly, and even if you find out what breed or cross he is, its doubtful you would be able to register him. In all honesty i dont think it matters what he is, as long as he gets the job done... thats just my opinion...

He's def. more stockier than an Arabian, his nose is almost a little bit of a roman nose. But he's crossed with a few things. DNA test would be fun, but expensive. I know for dogs its almost 100 bucks, so horses its gotta be more.

I'd have to agree with the general public that I don't see much Arab. Arabs and part arabs tend to have an elegant head, sometimes a little dish to their face, dainty, petite builds, and they often carry their tail higher at a trot and lope than other breeds. I'm not too familiar with too many breeds, but i'd say he does look like he has a little quarter in him. :D

He could be part arabian. Arabians can be gaited especcialy if they are bread with a gaited breed.

I'm not sure if it's already been said, but I highly doubt the DNA test would be effective because there's nothing to compare it to.

I definately don't see any arabian or lipizzan in him. There's really no way of telling just by looking at him. But where I live, if you don't know what it is, it's just a horse. Not any particular breed. He probably has a little bit of everything in him. But he is a pretty horse

Arabs do have a little gait but most people train it out of them they use arabs for a lot of saddle seat riding they will hold there head up high and brace there back so you cant post

All breedable Percherons have to be DNA tested. I'm not real sure that DNA testing will give you the breed. What they usually do is compare the strands to known horses to determine parentage. I know I had to DNA my TB's when I had them, too....for the same reason. Check with your vet......this may not be the way to go.

Arabians aren't suppose to gait, and rarely if ever do.

That makes me think he is probably a Walker x QH or something like that.

I was wondering what breed you think my horse is he has arabian in him I am sure he is beautiful i have been looking at the Shagya Arabian and i am thinking he is one but I'm not sure i really want to know his breed i love him registerd or not but everyone guesses around saying he could be part walker or even have some lippizon in him it is really annoying i was looking into the dna testing but i couldn't find a price anywhere no one even had any idea what it would cost i haven't asked my vet what it might be yet so here are a few pics have a great time guessing
