I have a question: I'm just wondering why the big change from Horse Illustrated to Horse Channel? What was the purpose of changing it?

I'm a member of the YR forums, and they had a change too. I like it on here, though, I just don't subscribe to HI. I only subscribe to YR. I'll probably start subscribing to HI, soon.

I have a question:
If you are a subscriber to YR, but don't subscribe to HI, you can still join this site? Or can you just join this site if you subscribe to neither? Because I have friends that don't subscribe to YR or HI and they want to join this site.

| Dear Horse Illustrated, I love your magizine ,but I have a qustion for you? Are you guys gonna put a article of the California Fires ,and if so you are. I think you guys should start a fundraiser for the people who have lost things and horses.I may be from NY but I am very concerned about the people and horses in California. I think you guys should try to make a orginazation that would help the horsely loving people because I know they have orginaztions out there like this ,but I think we need more. Not to mention this orginization should be saving up money all year round instead of just when a disater strikes. That way we would be one step ahead of the game. I know I probley shouldn't be pinning stuff on you like this ,but It would be amazing for a magizine to also have a orginization that could start saving some money for disasters that effect horsey people because we all know horses arn't cheap .Then having a natural disater on top of that probley doesn't help .Specially when food and shelter for are four legged, hooved friends are brunt to a crisp. Also if you did decide to do this you could make: horse treats, blankets, bracelets, T-Sirts, and stuff like with a logo on it because I know I love buying stuff that helps people or horses. I just thought I would give you guys an idea to help are friends in California or nation in need. THANK YOU Sincerly,Karen Bonhomme
I LOVE my 9yr Quarter Horse Lil Ms Colonel Tee aka Freckles Bryant you are my hero and everyone else who is fighting for this country

You're right, and it's great that you're so concerned. We are too, which is why we've compiled a list of organizations collecting donations for the victims. Find out how you can help here >>

| Dear HC, I subscribe to Horse Illistated and love it. I was wondering if you could post an article (on this website) on how to make money. I am 13 and despeately need some cash to buy a new saddle. It doesn't fit my horse or me. A lot of posts on this website involve money-making. Thank You.

| ^^^I now what you mean its hard for young horse owners to make the money they need to buy things. I worked at a barn a few years ago helping lead out horses and cleaning a few stalls. You could also try asking your barn if they need a groom or someone to help the younger kids tack up. Try asking your trainer or barn owner if they need any help cleaning tack or some other barn chores. Being only 13 it may be hard to find a well paying horsey job, but if you ask around and try to be helpful i am sure you'll find something. Good luck getting a new saddle! -Sky
