i would like to see more about jumper shows. like what you need, what you wear, what the horse needs est. even get some "home" courses to keep your jumper sharp with ways to jump like over hay bales, est.

I stoped getting H.I. a while ago. It seemed to be beginner oriented at the time and I was moving on to discipline specific magazines.  I love the critiques. Instead of just one discpline you could have all types of critiques.  I dont know if you do this but product reviews by the readers would be great.

Could you include articles with arena excersises geared towards more middle of the road riders? Most are either intended for advanced riders training green horses, or green riders on push-button horses. I'm looking for things I can do, as an intermediate rider, on a not-so-push-button horse.

I would love to see anything you could give us, I mean there is so much to cover why not do a small section for hunters, dressage and anything else everyone would agree on that has to do with english. I always see english more around the ones who show. what about those who just ride english for fun and need help understanding maybe if there seat is right or if there horse is showing stressful signs of something being wrong with the saddle. believe me I know this is very beginner sounding. But you would be suprised at how many people say they know how to ride a horse and then they get on the back and everything seems so wrong. will be so awesome to have a little book section for all of this in horse illustrated.

...this is so true and this is how we all should live, never stand still in something you believe in always take that leap and prove what you can do and who you are!

My passion burns with the fire of the love of one horse that turned my world upside down and set it a flame. RIP NICHOLAS, I will forever miss you!!

As much as I love hunter/jumper and dressage, HI needs to see something different...

I own a TWH and I show english Non-trotting. In an earlier issue for 2009, I saw that they had an article in English Training relating to saddleseat, which game me hope. But I would like to see an article in English Training strictly about showing GAITED horses. I would like to see some tips in there about improving the gaits of your tennessee walking horse, places to show, showing tips, equitation patterns and how to ride them, etc. Riding gaited horses is so much different from a hunter or dressage horse. There is more to the english world than that... Just because the horse has a smooth gait doesn't mean its always a smooth ride...trust me. xD
