| To take the other road on hte question of grooming... Perhaps an aritcle as to why it normally is not a good idea to use hoof black and particularly to leave it on for days after teh 'show' you attended. Sheath cleaning.. A good easy to understand in language that everyone can understand. How to pull a mane properly with out hte use of sissors How to properly turn out your horse for hte disipline you are riding. Not just what is the 'style' in the breed circuts ie a to long bridle path on a hunter.. You know one that is longer than the bridle is wide like what is popular on the QH circut... It is called a bridle path not a bridle 6 lane freeway for a reason... When the proper time to do body clipping is and why one shouldnt do it in the spring when the winter coat is shedding out. Im sure there are more but those are the ones I can think of right now.

I want to see more on good hoof care. In particular barefoot hoof care. I think that most people spend so much time focusing on diet and training and they leave the hoof care to their farrier. Often they cannot recognize if they are getting good or bad hoof maintenance from their farrier.
I hear so often of people who believe it is fine to only have the feet taken care of during the riding season and neglect them all winter. People who think it is ok to ride the horse until the shoes actually all fall off before calling a farrier, people who do not know how to recognize a flared hoof wall or what it means, who don't know what a healthy frog or sole looks like.
What about articles on methods of handling and preventing founder.
Articles on hoof boots and how far the have come, the different types to be found and product evealuations.
Also would love to see some in depth product comparison studies on things like fly sprays, spot ons, shampoos, supplements, tack, etc.

Hey I would love to see an article about some of the best products to keep white horses white!!! & for lame horses that have no hoof wall left to nail a shoe to like my horse!! My farrier, Toby, found these cast like things that are really cool & work AMAZING!!! I think that more people should know about this option so that their horses are still rideable. Im soooo thankful that Toby found out about these!!! =]

I also would like some more nutrition stuff. I have a old guy (going on 26) and I always like to hear more information on how to keep him looking good! I also like hearing about natural feeds--im talking like eggs for shiny coats and such. those are always good tidbits.
"As he knotted the reins and took his stand, the horse's soul came into his hand, and from the mouth that held the steel came an innermost word, half thought, half feel."

i think you should maby look at natural feeding supplements, remedies, etc, like what herbs/plants can be planted in paddocks that would maximise natural intake of vitamins and minerals and reduce the use of pharmasutically developed feed supplements. (my horses regularly have a go at my herb garden (like they love rosemary and parsly), and they have never had some of those illnesses like colic, etc.)and maby the natural remedies for common problems, that don't necissarily need a vet. (e.g. flowers of sulpher powder mixed with vasiline for most skin probs like mites, or sweet itch, etc.) also remedies that could complement manadgement like worming schedules and immunity? i know i would love to know the uses of everything used in homeopathy for horses, along with uses of herbs and natural occurring minerals and vitamines.

Recently, a friends horse was put down with neurological issues. Another friend has a horse being treated for EPM. I had no clue what EPM was or the signs, when I told my friend to come out and look at her horse right away. His back leg was dragging on one side slightly and his balance is off center.
Just can't find how we could have missed his syptom's, they seem to progress slowly. Information on this would be appreciated.
