Enough with the Parelli's world already. Please get off that ride and choose  a variety of the many other trainers/methods that have stood the test of time. You can find them- are you even making a real effort to? Your magazine is starting to be way too "one size fits all" with this "Parrelli on parade" kick. Give other methods a fair chance, so that your readers can develop a well rounded sense of what it really takes to get to know what your horse is thinking, and how to train it appropriately.

I like the Idea of a different NH trainer each month.  There are so many out there and they all have good methods we could get lots of good idea's from.

I haven't seen John Lyons yet, and would love to. A mix of NH trainers would be nice, but I personally don't care for Clinton Anderson.

I don't know. I guess I have read the Parelli stuff and I haven't had luck. I think it would be awesome if you found local trainers and wrote a article about there training techneics. I think it would be neat also because then people could have their horses trained by these people and not try to do it them selves. All I know is I have had enough of Parelli.~Melissa

Greetings

It would be wonderful if all of the people that are associated with natural horsemanship can be featured. We do so love the our HI.

My husband and I are brand new horse owners since Oct of 2008. We now have two, one a little 18 month old filly and a 14 year old walker. The two are totally different and it is hard to know where to start at times. Both are a bit of a rescue.

We are empty nesters and of course we have grown to love these two as our other children, so many of you know where we are.

Having said all of the above, we still know that these wonderful kids are to be respected and looked out for and after and that is where all of the knowledge from many different people can come in handy...You hear things differently from different people. The same information and methods just a different way of saying things.

I personally needed to know more about the mind of a horse more then others I think because I have loved horses all of my life but just have not had the opportunity to have them in my life. I feel that most of the people teaching the courses have forgotten what it must be like for a person like me that is really really brand new. So, if I can help to make it easier for the next person that is as new as I was/am then that would be a good thing. Please remember we all did not grow up on the back of a horse!

Thanks for all you do.

Branching off a bit from what Woodrow's Mommy said, you could possibly do a section about people time people who show that have used NH. I'm not really into NH, but I won't deny it works for some. A lot of people don't believe NH works for horses that show and this simply isn't true. Maybe you could feature some of these show circuit people who used NH as their base training. I know the O'Connors use it, and I'm sure you could find others out there.

Um, the O'Connors use Parelli methods so what you are saying really makes no sense. And if I ran the mag it would all be Parelli methods. And please please no Clinton Anderson!

Definitely out with the Parelli...he's getting so old. His stuff is too wishy-washy for me (it's like he wants us to go jump rainbows and play all day - honestly?).

I like the NH trainer a month deal, and not just the conventional sense of NH either; we need variety.

I love Clinton Anderson...

I make siggy's - PM me if you would like one

I would LOVE to see not just clinicans and their methods, but HOW to read your horse. WHAT the horse is telling you. It'd be quite beneficial - especially in training.

I'm not really a fan of Parelli's either and I think they shouldn't be featured as much as they are. Maybe a diverse group of NH trainers would be nice for every month rotations (someone else already mentioned this) OR a series where they explain a certain exercise.

I also don't really enjoy reading hocus-pocus stories about how someone magically cured a horse. SHOW US, TELL US.
