baihleyj (8/14/2008) i think you should do a profile on miniature horses, they are very usefull i have 3 and they can drive, show or be companions they are really sweet and not a lot of people know about them. I agree! I really wish there would be a profile done about Miniatures. They are just as versatile as the QH or Arab. They can be shown in several different driving classes, obstacle in hand, halter, and even hunter-jumpers. I enjoy reading your magazine but I am finding it increasingly hard to relate to many of your articles. Those of us with 'little equines' and even people who show the big horses in breed shows or in hand classes are left out.

| i would like to know the difference between a Canadian Horse and Canadian Warmblood. I have a Canadian Warmblood, and i would like to know what breeds are in him. Everytime I look up the breed, no website can show me one. I've been to the Canadian Warmblood website, but it doesn't help to see what makes a CAnadian warmblood

I would like to see an article on cross-breeds like Appendix QHs and Anglo-Arabs and Paintabians. They are all very interseting to me and my friends.

Hoodsey (5/21/2008) I'd love to see an overview of the modern day hitch and harness percheron. Not the "french" bred ones which don't even resemble the original percherons. Everytime someone portrays percherons, they think of the short, stocky, heavy ones, when in reality, the original percherons were bred as warfare horses. They were taller, slimmer and a bit more on the fancy side. They weren't clunky farm horses as always depicted. They more closely resembled America's show percheron. Definatly I would love to see this as well as the Spanish-Normans which are the lighter version of the Percherons mixed with Andalusian blood, to get the old version of the war horse back. I raise and breed Percherons and look for that light look its one to see, and there is no way to truly describe the look of a well balanced Percheron that looks just as comfortable under saddle as in Harness. These horses are beautiful and out of all the breeds I have owned the Percheron has always held my heart above all others. Horse Illustrated needs to get these in there, Perchons are extremely versatile and should be promoted that way not just as some clunky harness horse.
Many people have sighed for the 'good old days' and regretted the 'passing of the horse,' but today, when only those who like horses own them, it is a far better time for horses. ~ C.W. Anderson

~*~illiniarabrider~*~ (6/12/2008) I know there probably have been articles about Arabians before, but I personally would like to see one about Arabs. All the years I have been subscribing I have never seen an article about Arabians. I totally agree.
