Rules: I post a pic and a couple of people can rate and then when this breed gets kinda old somebody else can post there own breed that they dilike or love. So Rate The Breed people and post your opinions on the subjects!

Whats your rate and thoughts on TB"S?

My rate is 8, I just feel like everyone has them, theres like 10 of them at my barn and you see them all around the show ring and I like my ponies better, but thats just me, what's your rates and your opinions?

Current thoroughbreds?

Only about a 5 or 6. While they are talented and sweet horses (most of them anyway...), I like my horses to remain sound long enough to enjoy. And while I KNOW like 50 of you are going to come running on here telling me about your 18 year old OTTB who has never been unsound, your tales aren't going to waive my opinion of this. My job entails going to about 5 or 6 ranches/farms a day for x-rays on horses and I see another 10 or so in the clinic on a regular basis. During my daily route, I usually encounter about two thoroughbreds that are for CERTAIN lame or going to be lame in the near future due to a breaking stressfracture. Thoroughbreds are the only breed I am guaranteed to see at least one a day of...

They aren't bred for soundness anymore.

But aside from that, the ones I have seen have been big sweethearts, with a lot of try and care of their owners/handlers.

A 6. Beautiful and sweet horses, but I've known some to be not that smart, maybe it's just the individual horses I've met.

I'd rate them a 7, just because I don't find them that interesting, they are pretty, but not my type of horse.

Andalusians are great horses but definately not for everyone. All the ones I've worked with have been very smart and easy to train. The care to keep them looking nice and the effort required to register them may be too much for some people. I give them an 8.
