I have a 7 year old Arabian stallion that I am thinking about having gelded. What are the risks? Because of his age, should the procedure be done at the Vet's or is it safe to have it done on the farm? Any advice?

My horse gets really excited after he runs and he will jig the whole way home. How do I stop him from jigging, and calm him down after he runs on the trail?

I have a 9month old mini filly-at first I thought she rubbed her lip on the gate to her stall-shes very itchy but someone told me the two bumps on the bottom lip are warts-where do they come from and how can I make them go away-are they contagious to my other guys-any input would be greatly appreciated-thanks Debbie C

Technically I know its for the mag but will tell you anyways. Sure there are always risks with gelding no matter the age. Yes you can do it on the farm. We always have our vet come out to geld them and we gelded an 11 yr old stud. He was fine. As long as they are in good health they shounld be fine.

Work with him to get him engaged on the bit and listening. Even in the field after a run, circle him, work on stopping, any kind of excersise so he listens.

HELP!
I am doing a school research paper, and I decided to do it on the top 2 equestrian sports (One english, one western),but I cannot find out what they are! I have tried every possible configuration of words on Google, Ask, etc, but still cannot find it. If there is any way that you can help me figure it out, I would appreciate it IMMENSELY!!

THX!
