| I have a question. Sorry if this is offensive and sounds insanely idiotic, but I was always called the blonde in my family....even though i'm a brunette....I still don't get it...Whatever. Do people from Canada have accents? Sorry if you guys find this offensive, i'm really sorry about my stupidity.

| Not offensive at all. According to me, Torontonians do NOT have accents. However, others may disagree. Apparently, Canadians pronounce the 'ou' sound differently than Americans (such as in 'about', we emphasize the u, where as you guys sometimes make it sound like "aboat"). We also say "eh" much more (this is actually true). "Eh" is a multi-purpose word, used at the end of a sentance to turn it into a question "you comming tonight, eh?", a non-comittal answer "eh", or a "EH!" for "Hey OVER HERE!". You guys have the letter "zee", we have "zed". It also depends on where you go. I find the east coasters have a strong accent, and different speech mannerisms.
Society does not need more children; but it does need more loved children. Quite literally, we cannot afford unloved children - but we pay heavily for them every day. There should not be the slightest communal concern when a woman elects to destroy the life of her thousandth-of-an-ounce embryo. But all society should rise up in alarm when it hears that a baby that is not wanted is about to be born. ~Garrett Hardin

That's so interesting, so you guys are sorta like New Yorkers, you have your own little accent over there! That's so cool! Thanks Misfit!

| Defs not a New York accent. I've been told we sound almost 'British' by some people (with a slight twinge of scottish/irish). The east coast sounds vaguely scottish though. OOH, forgot to mention. Obvi the French will have a French accent. However, Quebec french and parisien french DOES sound different. I speak Quebec french, so when I went to France I was laughed at for my Quebec accent.
