~♥trixiedoodles♥~ (7/19/2009) Ya I used to like him but is all into money now. He is getting extremly exspensive. I dont by any more of his stuff. I have his halter carrot stick rope and hackamore and levels one and two. Its just rediculous how exspensive its getting. But i still like the training. I have a carrot stick... I got my stuff like three years ago

I think they're both morons, so I guess it qualifies me (although I think that Anderson is a lot more fun to look at. He just needs to shut up and do what he does best... look pretty). He's got great teeth..

I have something to learn from everyone.
NHers have their place, and I think they are very helpful for teaching ground manners.

sunny06 (7/19/2009) IMO, Clinton is better than Parelli..Must be a vibe because I can't put my foot on it why I can't stand Parelli. He just seems so..arrogant? Not safe? Jumping over picnik tables and unstationary barrels? Give me a break! ^^ This from a person who's siggy link is rather uneducated... Yeah I read it and filed it away under the person doesnt know buttocks from hot rock... The two items that he has jusmped doesnt make hm n idiot. If you look at older photos picnic tables and barrels are mild. The barrels are a standard jump at most show farms. Pinic table Ive dont it once or twice its been a while and since then sanity has set in. The jumps in eventing are more hairy than a picnic table... Anyway I have 'carrot stick' also they are in my fridge... Or down at my local RKPO or TSC for about 1/8th the cost and hte rope halter yeah i cant get one of those to for a fraction of waht pat and linda hock their stuff for. I am against all 'natural horsemanship' people because they tend to cater to those who dont know any better and with no diret support system the people get in over head ( check out the 6th or7th post on 2nd page of the 'tell us what you want in horse illistrated' to prove my point. Whie some of the various methods will work on horses those are 'good horsemanship' to begin with. But most of hte crap they all hock is down right dangerious Ie you never want a horse to turn to you/ come to you when done lunging.. A horse is to stop and stand until you tell him to turn or physically turn the horse to you. And what good dose the have horsie stand on a circus stool do? None other than gee lets play a game.. sorry I wish all of them including pony boy and the other would go away and allow real horsemen to come back..
If ponies were human.. most would be in prison. Mrs. Smith COTH

Where did you come up with the idea that Clinton "beats" his horses. I hapeen to use his methods on my horse which has never made me wnat to hit her or beat her at all like so people who get so mad that their horse doesnt respect them that they start beating on them.

| I really don't feel like arguing, but this really bothered me and I'm feeling bolder than normal: "This from a person who's siggy link is rather uneducated... Yeah I read it and filed it away under the person doesnt know buttocks from hot rock..." ^^ What is it about that article that is so 'horribly uneducated'? I thought it had some good points, and I just wanted to share. AGAIN, everyone's acting like I wrote the stupid article.. I saw it off another forum where they were discussing the 2 point/hunter and jumper position/etc. and thought I'd SHARE. Not trying to necessarily prove anything. "The two items that he has jusmped doesnt make hm n idiot. If you look at older photos picnic tables and barrels are mild. The barrels are a standard jump at most show farms. Pinic table Ive dont it once or twice its been a while and since then sanity has set in. The jumps in eventing are more hairy than a picnic table... " ^^ I've seen plenty of pictures of Parelli jumping over NON stationary barrels. The ones at shows are 99% (and whoever's aren't sure should be) stationary, but have jump cups. Way safer, IMO. There's also a reason that you said 'Sanity set in'. Because you know it isn't safe, correct? Yet you're standing up for someone you don't even like. Little odd.. Sure eventing jumps may be bad, but there's a reason they are making them have quick-release now. Too many accidents happening. I'll be staying away from rolling barrels...

| Hi... just wanted to say that I am one of those people at a 'show' (-ish) barn who jumps barrels that aren't anchored. That way you can roll them around the ring easily to create a new course. The horses don't usually knock them, and due to the fact that the arena is never perfectly smooth, they don't roll more that a couple inches. Now, the cross country barrels are firmly anchored to the field. Picnic tales aren't that bad, actually, considering that some people jump their horses over compact cars. I don't like Parelli, to me he just allows the horse to treat you like a doormat. Clinton Anderson's methods involve getting the horse to respect you more. I don't know, I'm just not a totall NH person. I think there are some valuable peices to be learned from them, but you can't just use them as your only source for horse training.

| My wallet doesn't like NH all together. I like Anderson more then Parelli, but how is spanking your horse beating? Did you mom or dad ever spank you and you got the state coming at them for child abuse? If not, it certainly isn't for horses
