I ride bareback sometimes but I find I get a lot more accomplished when I ride in a saddle. I normally just ride Trax or Riata bareback because I don't really do anything with them.

Anyway. In 4H they had bareback classes here, but I don't think they have them at normal/higher level shows.

Geese, talk about rude! im actaully a spelling bee champion since 1st grade, but I hate typing. Well, I am starting 4-H this winter so I'll see if there are any classes. Thanks. I have started jumping bareback. Plus posting and two-pointing. My legs will be sooooo strong after this.

Unfortunately, TB's aren't the best horses for riding bareback. So I use a bareback pad, and I love riding bareback. Posting and two-point bareback are very good exercises to strengthen your legs! (haha, another thing you can't do with a TB, Merrill's withers get in the way). I bet you will find that your legs are much stronger and you have better balance when you start riding in a saddle again! Have fun!

I will type out all the words now. It just takes longer, and I'm an on-the-go type of person. Have sports to do, horses to ride. Actually, i have two horses: a TB and an appie. I ride the TB, Peanut, bareback. Sure, her withers are very prominent, but that defnitely doesnt stop me or her if I accidently land on them. She has the smoothest canter, but trotting is a nightmare! But sadly, she is limping right now; the vet says we should only walk and trot. So right now we are mostly walking. Even on the trail, we go bareback since she turns into a nut prancing and kind of spooky an d sweating buckets. Can you old people read this now?????????? Not to be rude.

I love riding bareback! Even though Cheyenne is narrow and quick...lol. I like bareback on a dollar, and some bareback jumping. Bareback barrels is the best though...lol.

Thanks Sunny06 for the siggy!

i ride bareback a lot. I love it. I actually just started to a lot but that might be because i am in bareback classes for my equestrian team. My QH mare isn't very good western but im working on english bareback more this week because im picking up that class for this saturday.

I ride bareback whenever im too lazy to saddle up. And when I dont have enough time to do a big ride i just hop on and go. Though Penny is a bit harder to slow down in a halter

I'm walkin' on Sunshine!
