Who has a rescue horse? Or a retired racehorse? I have an ex-racehorse named peanut! She's a great horse and an awesome hunter!

Thanks. I love your horses name Peanut.

What all do you do with your horse? You said she's a great hunter. But is there anything else?

My best friend's ex racer lives with me. His JC name is Count the Copper, but we named him Renaissance. He is 27 years old, was raced until he was 7. He's been a trail horse and h/j. Now he's mainly retired, but not due to unsoundness or anything. My friend lives an hour away, has two young children and is pregnant with her third, so she rarely gets to ride. So he gets to hang out and enjoy life here :)

My boy is a retired racer! My next one probably will be too. (Hopefully it will be many years from now though) I'm currently retraining Ace for the hunter ring. We're actually hoping to show tomorrow, depending on his mental state in the morning. It will be his 2nd show ever. He still tends to want to race the other horses, but we're making progress.

I have 2 OTTBs at the moment, Echo and Lovely. Probably plenty more coming lol. I show Echo in hunter/jumper stuff. He's my boy. Lovely is starting her career as a broodmare and I started some of her retraining this summer.

My mare isnt a tb. Shes a paint. I looked at her once and passed her up because i wasnt sure i wanted to get a new horse right after my first passes. I changed my mind when I saw her add was still on equine.com after a month. I called that day to buy her. If it wasnt rained out that day she would have gone to new holland auction. its not a very good place for a horse, because guys come from mexico and canada to buy horses for slaughter. I feel pretty good about not letting that happen, shes isnt the best riding horse, she acts like an ottb because all she did was gaming, but shes super sweat and respectful on the ground.

I have an OTTB. His JC name was Cash Know, but I changed it to La Kota. He was left in a pasture for a year. He was messed with seldomly, and got stuck in barb wire, so now he has a permanent scar. He's the best horse I've ever had! Temperment wise. He is hard-mouthed, and is parrot mouthed.
