Hey everyone! I am in need of some new riding pants for schooling and for showing. I was looking at the following. If anyone has any of these, can you tell me how you like them? I don't have any breeches of these brands, so I don't know anything about them. Or can anyone recommend their favorite pair of breeches? I want knee patch breeches, and I don't want to spend a fortune. At the most, $60 per pants. Thanks!

Devon-Aire All Pro Riding Breeches: http://www.doversaddlery.com/devon-aire-all-pro-riding-breeches/p/X1-35377/cn/4/#dmtab-4

And also, what color should I get? I know I want a pair of black ones for schooling, but for showing, should I get beige or khaki? They seem so similar and yet so different. Does it matter what color I get? (I want to start showing in hunters and equitation) Thanks!

i personally hate ariat breeches, and most people who have them cant stand them too. the quality is fine, they just dont fit.
devon airs are good, have not tried tuff riders.
get beige, it looks a lot better then khaki and works better for showing.

I find tough riders very comfortable, but I personally would recommend you spend the money on a high level pair. Grand Prix breeches are the cheapest higher-end breeches at just over $100. My trainer tells us we all need something like that to look a bit more put together at shows. But than again, she is also telling us to go with all the new fades. ^^ But, they are built a bit better and last a little longer and are SUPER comfortable. If you can, spend the little extra. ;)

devon-aire and tuff rider are good breeches. but im picky about what the material is. like i dont care for those cotton breeches. and i love the low rise breeches. they fit me xo much better than the regular fit. i havent ever had ariat breeches.

Kerrits tights. You shouldn't show in them (schooling show *maybe*). To just school in, totally. I love them and they are the only things I ride in.

I have a pair of the ariat sport breeches to school in sometimes. They're okay, not horrible but not my favorite. I'm really hooked on the tailored sportsman's for showing and even for schooling sometimes. I have a few pairs and they have held up wonderfully through the years, but they are expensive. Maybe try looking on ebay for a cheaper pair since they last so long and are always classic.

Really? Ariats are the only kind that fit me! Then again, I have zero hips and but, but big calves. I love the look of tailored sportsmans but they are WAYY baggy in the hips.

tough rider breeches are like my favorite for everyday riding, their very comfortable and made of very durable material, i have more riding breeches than jeans or skirts all put together. and i still wear some tough rider breeches that i've had for around 2 years, plus their not expensive and some designs look great. i'd recomend for you to just one pair of breeches and give them a try and see how they work for you.

I'ts always good to have a pair of showing breeches. this ones are more expensive, but its worth it, plus theill last for years to come. i recomend breechess that are padded all the way to the butt if you want a more secure non slip seat, some riders find that comfortable, but i dont really like them. i feel weird on them :) i'll post my showing breeches brand as soon as i find them ^^

Out of the ones you listed, I'd say Ariats. Devon-Aires aren't really appropriate for showing. At schooling and local shows they're fine, but above that not really. I haven't seen any Tuffriders that were show worthy, but I have heard of some side-zip show-quality breeches that they are making now. If you post your size I bet somebody could find a good deal on a better pair of breeches. It's all about where to look
