it all depends on your area.
i pay $150 for boarding for each horse. it includes all the feed and turnout they want (24/7 turnout) i provide supplements and feed 2 of the 7 days a week. my friend feeds 2x and the barn manager feeds 3x.
farrier- $35 trim for weanling, $100 shoes w. pads for my mare
vet- once a year shots, coggins, exam about $120 each horse
not including emergencies.
dentist- $65 each once a year
supplements- since my mare has arthritis about 75c a day
blankets- about $70 for ea horse (I use saxon midweights)

| All places are of course different. My mom pays for the horse expenses. But pay for some of it. I board at a barn where its self-care. Its cheaper and I have to go down everyday anyways to take care of my moms chickens. Anyways.. here's the list of all the expenses she pays. Board-$85 per month, $55 front shoes, $60 teeth floating, $6-10 on deworming paste, $17 supplements(Quiextex), showing cost roughtly $25 for a show for gas.
It pretty much depends on what type of riding you do, where you board at and what you want, full board, self-care barn? or ect... Hope that helped

spring and fall shots?? does you horse get the same shots 2x a year, or do you give different shots at different times. my horses get shots once a year and wormed 5-6 times a year, but we also dont show so they arent exposed to other horses, unless we get a new boarder.

Cost varies based on area, stable and quality. The only way for you to get an accurate estimate of a monthly cost, would be to make some inquiries yourself in your area. Call up local barns and ask about boarding rates, you can speak with veterinarians about recommended vaccinations in the areas and those costs, talk to farriers about services, etc. It may be easiest to find a few horse owners local to you and find out what they spend for different services.
Best of luck :)

We give them coggins, rabbies, and another in the spring. Then two more in the fall. I'm not sure what they are but the vet recomened it that way.

I have it easy. I work my board off. I work almost every day bringing in the horses and feeding. Or if it rained just feeding.
Otherwise it would be $375 for one horse for inside board with daily turnout/blanketing/supplement feeding(although i feed). (which is cheap here)
Farrier: $30 for trim $60 for trim and front shoes.
Vet: Havn't had to have a visit (just bought my horse) but the barn owner knows his stuff.
Supplements: I get weight builder.
Blankets: Havn't bought mine yet. Im procrastinating.
Lessons: not taking any now. Havn't ridden my horse yet =/
And thats all i can think of now.

| Wow you guys are lucky your board is so cheap! My board is $850 a month for each of my horses(feed, hay, turnout, blanketing, flyspray, etc.) Farrier is $150 per horse every 4-6 weeks(depending on the horse) Lessons are $450 (I take 3 lessons a week, one on each horse) So that's a grand total of...$3450. Too bad I can't get board for only like a hundred bucks like y'all! And shots, worming, training rides, etc. are extra
