P.S. On a side note, I think you mean 'Parelli Certified', not 'Cirtified' (which isn't a word).

P.S One a side note, The only reason you agree with abortion, is because if one day you get pregnant, you want to have a good conciance.

What, in the name of Napoleon's underpants, ARE you talking about?

First, we're talking and Appendix QHs, then we're talking about how we can't answer questions, and now it's on to abortion? Grasping at straws now for sure.

I assume it has something to do with my sig. Getting upset at my sig is a little silly, but I can kind of understand that because I did correct a spelling mistake in yours. You probably thought "an eye for an eye" and all that (disregarding the fact that I wasn't intending to be snarky with correcting the spelling mistake, I was simply pointing it out).

But I honestly cannot fathom what you're trying to say about my signature or about my opinion on abortion. Why would it matter if I have a good conscience if I get pregnant? And what does it have to do with my opinion on abortion? Please, explain what you're trying to say.

For clarification, I'm not 'pro-abortion', I'm 'pro-choice'. I do believe that women should have the option. Why? Because I don't think the government has the right to regulate what happens to a woman's body. Moreover, I do not view fetuses as being living people until they reach a stage where they are viable outside of the womb.

Society does not need more children; but it does need more loved children. Quite literally, we cannot afford unloved children - but we pay heavily for them every day. There should not be the slightest communal concern when a woman elects to destroy the life of her thousandth-of-an-ounce embryo. But all society should rise up in alarm when it hears that a baby that is not wanted is about to be born. ~Garrett Hardin

Wow, rude much?

I'm sorry if you don't like the replies you're getting, but if you don't like our answers then WHY do you keep asking questions? We answered to the best of our ability in being completely honest: Appendix Quarter horses are really hard to judge. I could tell you about my experience with Appendixs, but it really wouldn't help you much because honestly the appendixs I worked with were nothing like each other. There were a few I loved, a few I hated. Some were more TBish, some were more QHish.

It sounds like you got what you're looking for, so why do you care what you get here?

I posted this time because I thought you people would be different, because all I was asking for was reviews on this breed. I never thought that is would lead to this but then again I have seen more fights going on here then any other forum. HC should really watch who they let register on this forum. If you have worked with the breed before, then TELL ME ABOUT THEM. I don't care if one was more "TBish or more QHish", but give me some reviews on the breed, how you liked them ect... Its actully not that hard, I made the question simple enough for you people on HC could understand it, obviously I will have to break it down evan more for you to understand it next time (sad really). By the way, did you READ the other replys on the other forums????????

The appendix I ride at school is a super star on the flat, and flat as a board over fences.

I swear he looks more like they crossed a QH halter horse with a 1/2 TB or something because he is a TANK, while at the same time has upright pasterns and small feet. He is a good boy and gorgeous, but I wouldn't reccomend him for anyone serious about jumping. I know you don't want to hear this, but with Appendixes they do have a wide variety of body types. I know some Appendixes that are 7/8ths TB, so they are going to be more TBish, whereas others are 7/8ths QH and are going to be more QHish, if that makes sense?

This is what Ricki looks like:

This is his pedigree (note there is only ONE TB in there, a couple gens. back):

Then there is this Appendix (who I believe is now registered as a full QH, but you get the point):

Pedigree:

In other words, you can't tell for sure what you are going to get with an Appendix. If you want us to say 'Oooh, they're soooo amazing!!' then fine, but don't be shocked if the horse ends up the total opposite of anything posted.

Finally someone who gets it!!!!! (No Offence Misfit). This is the kinda review I am talking about! And no, I am not looking for a "Ooooh their so amazing" review cause that wouldent be true.

Oh and by the way here is a link to the Appendix I am going to try out when I move.

1 of my old horses was an appendix mare. she used 2 be raced. she looked more TB than QH. at first, she was headshy, but when i started trainin her, she finally let me brush  her head. she had the smoothest gaits i hav ever felt! she jumped, did equitation, did hunters, and absolutely loved barebak! really, it takes the best out of both breeds. mine had a Qh's temperment, Tb's speed and looks, but she also had huge bursts of energy and hyperness once in awhile it was fun tho!

I have owned an Appendix and a few of my good friends have them. Most of the ones that I've encountered are similar in that they are tall-ish and stocky build like a QH. 3 of the 4 that I know very well are a little high strung and have big strides like a TB. 2 of those 3 have very adjustable strides, easily handled by an intermediate/experienced rider hardly ever stop at jumps, and have a lot of scope. They do very well in the .9m -1.15m jumper classes. The 3rd is extremely strong and has an average stride, but only for an experienced rider, he's also very scopey. He also has done well in the .9m - 1.15m classes The 4th is an odd ball lol. He is sluggish and lazy, has quite and attitude, and likes to buck occassionally. Over the last 6 months he's gotten a new rider and they have improved tremendously from where he was before. He still will buck for a lead change, but is now successful at the .85m -1m jumper classes. All 4 are pretty spooky and will spook randomly, especially at shows. #4 (the oddball) is especially spooky and requires a lot of confidence from his rider through a course, but he's also only 8 and only started jumping at age 5. Hope this helps!

wow someone is getting a bit jumpy. it would all be better if people didnt get offended so easily. APPENDIX horses mhh... they have two great breeds in one, they can do pretty much everything, and as for temperament goes, it really depend. for example some quarter horses are pretty calm and level headed meanwhile toroughbreds are more jumpy and hot blooded. so you might be getting something in between...maybe. im no expert, just common sense. plus theres a registry for apendix horses. yes like other people said. temperament in horse depends.

Some might exceel at jumping, others might turn out to  be grat cattle horses * we had a couple of apendix horses who did amazing cutting cattle* and others might be good at dressage or 3 day eventing. it all depends. Tb's are great jumpers so i imagine apendix horses are too.

I fail to see what a "conciance" is.

Do you mean CONSCIENCE?

Why would you even bother bringing up abortion?

It has nothing to do with what this topic is about.
